With their sense of detail and flawless service, Thierry and Alexandre Speitel-Gotz welcome you to Clos Alice.
Inspired by their travels and experiences around the world, they have designed a hotel in their image: simple and straightforward, a place where everyone feels at home.
They share their love of art and antiques with their guests. In this magnificent setting , you’ll discover items from their personal collection, such as tables and dressers.
Their decision to settle in Arbois came naturally. Alexandre’s maternal grand-mother was born in Arbois. A regular visitor to Arbois since his childhood, over time he transmitted his passion for this wine-growing town to Thierry.
Clos Alice was born.

The Clos Alice experience is 5 luxury suites, each one unique. Bright and spacious, they hold the promise of a wonderful stay in discreet elegance and 5-star comfort. The Arbois landscapes change with the seasons, the joy of staying in one of these suites remains constant.

In keeping with the dining tradition of stately homes, Clos Alice welcomes you to its gourmet restaurant. The Chef offers a delicious and authentic cuisine showcasing quality produce, to be savoured in the dining room or on the flower-filled patio in summer. An ode to the local terroir and the culinary heritage of the Jura, rooted in the 18th century.
From Bresse fowl to cheeses such as the iconic comté and morbier, cured meats, or autumn mushrooms, a host of local flavours and produce prepared with ancestral know-how. Particular attention is given to the choice of wines. Arbois is, after all, the capital of the Jura vineyard! And because stately homes nurture a certain festive spirit, Clos Alice opens its Champagne Bar to its guests.
